Weekly Wallpaper: Rimac Concept_One

It’s all gone a little quiet since the Rimac Concept_One was introduced to the world at the 2012 Salon Privé in Londo, which is a shame.

The numbers were insane. A 91kWh battery pack supplied power to four electric motors – one for each wheel. Total shove amounted to 1088hp and torque was equally frightening at 1,180lb ft. The description of being an ‘electric Bugatti Veyron’ was well-earned, given the Concept_One’s 0-60mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 190mph.

Rimac initially planned to build the Concept_One to order, but despite rumours of sale to a gentleman in Madrid, nothing has since surfaced. It’s understood that the car now exists as a technology demonstrator that the company uses to secure new business.
