Porsche launches Plug Into Siberia (images)

Porsche is going where no hybrid has gone before with its Plug Into Siberia event, sending 12 journalists and two hybrids to conquer 7,000 km of devastatingly cold terrain (as low as -25 Celsius!). The 12-day journey began in Irkutsk and will travel to Ekaterinburg near the Ural Mountains. On deck: Porsche’s Cayenne S E-Hybrid and Panamera S E-Hybrid.

The goal of the project is showing off how the hybrids can deal with tough Siberian weather, absolutely awful terrain, and one of the most harsh landscapes on the planet. Check out Porsche’s official pictures from the launch and stay tuned for more updates.
