Arash AF10 EV brings its 2,080 horsepower punch to Geneva

Arash is a boutique British automaker for people who never want to see another car like theirs in the parking lot at Walmart. Its latest offering, the AF10, will be on stage in Geneva next month.

The car packs a total of 2,080 horsepower inside its carbon fiber flanks. The fun starts with a 900 horsepower 6.2 liter supercharged V8. Four electric motors – two on the front axle and two at the rear – add a total of 1,180 horsepower. There is a 32 kWh lithium ion battery on board as well.

Put it all together and you get 1,682 pound-feet of torque. Getting all that power to the road involves either a 6 speed manual transmission or a dual clutch automatic behind the V8, All four electric motors deliver power through their own two speed gearbox.

How much does all this madness cost? Arash will sell you one for just $1.6 million. Toss in another hundred grand and get a Racer edition equipped with a roll bar, a fire extinguisher system and lots of other go-fast stuff.

Speaking of going fast, the AF10 gets to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. That is precisely how long it takes the new Tesla Model S P90D with Ludicrous Mode. The Tesla sells for one tenth the price of the AF10 and it doesn’t have those ghetto style Lamborghini Countach doors, either.
